Factory Rep Blinds is a family owned company, started by Gerry and Rosa Yates. After spending 38 years representing nationally known brands to window covering dealers and designers, Gerry decided to transition to also helping homeowners and architects in getting the beautiful results they deserved.

For years Gerry trained interior designers and window covering companies on measuring, selecting, and installing blinds. In addition, he helped install hundreds, if not thousands of jobs along the way.

Now, you can benefit from that experience, as Factory Rep Blinds represents a transition from wholesale (helping designers and window covering companies) to retail – helping homeowners, architects, and even builders.

We’re proud to employ and work with our local family, including children and grandchildren. The photo below is our original company team photo.

In addition to our physical family, we’re proud to have great people on our sales and installation team – who quite frankly are part of the family too.

While we have a physical showroom at ProSource of Spokane (by appointment only), most of our customers want us to come to them. and show them options in the comfort and decor of their own homes. We take pride in not only doing this, but in taking all the guess-work and hassle out of the window treatment buying process.

Moreover, Factory Rep Blinds doesn’t charge extra for our design expertise, for measuring your windows (you keep the measurements) or for installation.

And speaking of installation, it’s EASY, until it ISN’T. We can’t tell you how many nightmares we’ve resolved because of DIY or even professional installs that went sideways in a hurry. Mis-measuring is not only common, it’s almost the rule if one isn’t experienced in measuring windows. Think about it, there’s a reason online companies offer a “mis-measure guarantee”. (By the way – read the fine print on those. You still pay shipping and a service fee.). Like everyone on the Factory Rep Blinds team, our installers are licensed, bonded and insured.

Our experienced installation team is professional, fast and respectful of your home and has seen just about every scenario imaginable. So you can trust us to make sure your window coverings turn out beautifully – even if a curve ball is thrown our way.

Do you need training on a more technical product? How about a window covering repair years after we’ve installed? Factory Rep Blinds takes a lot of pride in making sure your window treatments not only look great, but work great too. This means making sure you’re trained to use them (smart phone remotes, synchronized security, etc.). It also means that if you have a problem down the road, we’re here to make it right.

We also believe in giving back to society and as part of that belief give to charities like Smile Train which helps children with cleft palate reconstruction. We also donate money and time serving at the Union Gospel Mission. We believe in helping the homeless community become gainfully employed and get their feet back on the right track.

The Factory Rep Blinds team is continually trained by national factories on the latest fashions AND technologies.

From remote-controlled shutters, patio screens, and interior blinds to digitally printed and color-matched treatments that will perfectly coordinate with your decor, we take pride in making sure your window coverings are not only beautiful, but are up-to-date.

Not only that, our experience in installing every kind of blind, shutter, and screen means we won’t steer you away from products because we’re afraid to install them. Some window coverings today can be a challenge for the less experienced installers. Not for our team.
