Sheer Shades

Sheer shades are a fairly new blind style that is available in quite a wide range of styles and features. From vertical sheer shades to horizontal banded shades and everything in between, sheer shades offer functional elegance by themselves or as a backdrop for other popular window treatments.

Horizontal Sheer Shades

Horizontal sheer shades filter light softly while allowing you to adjust for privacy and glare. Their unique structure functions somewhat like a horizontal wood blind with adjustable slats, yet the fabric used has a softer look and filters light even when fully open. Vertical Sheer Shades

Like the name implies, vertical sheer shades combine the functionality of vertical blinds with the soft light filtering effects of a sheer shade. Ideal for sliding doors or large windows, vertical sheer shades are a great choice for preserving views or opening spaces while allowing cool, filtered light. Banded Shades

Banded Shades are often called Zebra Shades or Layered Shades and use a combination of fabrics to create a stunning visual, while still offering filtered light. Pictured here are Graber Layered Shades. Other popular styles include Zebra Shades from Hunter Douglas and Alta Banded Shades.

Sheer Shade Options

Sheer Shades can be combined with other popular window treatments such as roll screens and custom draperies to create a perfect balance of light control and decorative beauty. In addition, sheer shades of all types, whether horizontal or vertical, can be motorized for superior convenience and light control. With the tap of a button or on your phone, control all your motorized sheer shades from one spot, no matter where you are.
